Granturismo insurance and registration cost in Italy

New member here and hope you can help me;
I am wondering how much is the registration and insurance cost for Granturismo S in Italy ? Which insurance company would you recommend me to contact ( I am looking for lowest cost) ?

Welcome to the forum. Car insurance in Italy is probably the most expensive in Western Europe, and so is registration thanks to the newly introduced "superbollo".

I can't give you precise information as I don't have an S, but hopefully some other members will provide you some indications.

As you can see I am from Slovenia ; work in the financial industry and am a big car enthusiast; always big a big Maserati fan but never could afford one.
Now I finally have enough capital to realize this dream but Slovenia has decided to put a 50% tax on base price on EU imports. It fells like we are back in Yugoslavia days.
I was thinking about buying and registering the GT in Italia but I see you guys have even more problems than we do. I didnt not know about this superbollo tax.This is absolutelly insane.
I have looked at Spain also but I think the best option right now would be to registre a car in Andora on tourist plates. If somebody has any other suggestion please tell. :-(

The problem will be when you go back to Slovenia, you will have to pay the tax you did not pay in Spain, go on EU.com, you will see insanity all the way, i am in Malta and we have the same problem, now bigger, all cars till euro 3 like an asseto corsa will have to pay 100% registration and 1740 license per year.
